Student Resources are provided to assist you with Blackboard information. To access, log in to Blackboard using the following:
Username: student
Password: resources
Once you are logged in, click on the courses tab to access the Student Resources.
Your Blackboard User ID and Password is your Windows Login Username
(also known as your ksxxx00, kuxxx00, Domain or NT) and Password.
By default, users with a "ku" User ID the password is set to your Banner ID (K00001234). If you have changed this password at any
time then your Blackboard password will reflect that change.
By default, users with a "ks" User ID the password is set to your Social Security Number. If you have changed this password at any
time then your Blackboard password will reflect that change respectively. If you are using your SSN we highly recommend you change
to a different password. The help Desk can assist you with this process.
If you have unsuccessfully logged into Blackboard more than 5 times your account will be locked for 30 minutes. After 30 minutest you can
attempt to login with your correct password again. If you continue to have an issue please contact CIS HelpDesk to correct the issue.

Blackboard Services Unavailable
Faculty and Students,
Blackboard services will be unavailable on Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. US Central Time due to maintenance to our network here at Texas A&M University - Kingsville. During this maintenance window, users will experience periods of intermittent inactivity to no activity while using Blackboard services. Faculty please inform your students of this maintenance service.

Student Email Activation

To all students,
Thank you for choosing to enroll at Texas A&M University - Kingsville. As an enrolled student with Texas A&M University - Kingsville your are automatically enrolled with Windows Live Service. This Windows Live Service includes email service. This email service is automatically entered into your personal Blackboard account. In order to receive email communications from Instructors via Blackboard you must activate your free Windows Live Email service provided to you our students. In order to activate your Windows Live Service you must log onto your Windows Live Service account once. In order to log onto your Windows Live Service click on the "Windows Live Service" link at the end of this announcement. Next simply enter your email address and password. If you do not know your email address you can find your it by logging into the CIS department's "Account Management" web page and look under the "Email Alias" field for your email address. Your password by default is your Banner ID (K00xxxxxx). Once you log onto the Windows Live email service you will be prompted to change your password. If you have already activated your Windows Live Email service please disregard this announcement.
